Seth Freakin' Rollins Against The World

Well, well, well. If it isn't the consequences to his actions...

Seth Rollins, and everything he does, seem to part the sea of wrestling fans the same way Moses did. On one side are the people who absolutely despise him with a burning passion while on the other side stand those who actively celebrate whenever he burns it down. There are very few superstars who hold this much power and lately Seth has been yielding it masterfully with his fingertips the same way he does when everyone is singing along his theme song. Whether you like him or not, one thing has to be agreed upon is this: Seth Rollins, right now, is operating on a whole other level.

To begin this journey, we have to go all the way back to before the pandemic sent wrestling back into an empty arena. Seth was shifting gears and stories were moving a certain way that didn't completely click with the crowd. However, the absence of crowd allowed Seth - as well as a few others - to expand their personas beyond the limits of immediate response. Without any interruption or the need to adjust in the moment, Seth was not only able to explain his new found motivations but make a complete path through them. Until we arrived here.

From the obnoxious laughter to the over the top outfits, Seth's volume has been raised to the highest frequency he's ever played on. And while many didn't expect him to be this successful as crowds were eased back into the wrestling world, the foundation built by the Architect was so strong that nothing seemed to make it waver. Well, nothing expect one thing: Wrestlemania.

Having already a couple of historic moments on the grandest stage of them all, you can't hold it against him to want, at the very least, a hand full. And if everyone is a firm believer that those who put in the work throughout the year deserve a spot on the golden card, how could Seth Rollins' name not be on the list after everything he's been doing. In fact, as the weeks go by without a confirmation, many names and potential matchups circle around social media but as Seth said on RAW last night, rumours don't make moments...

...But completely losing it does. Has done it for some before. Reaching that breaking point is the only way to find the light again. And if Seth Rollins is doing everything right to get the crowd behind him, no matter which side of the spectrum he's painting on, there's no denying he'd be carried on everyone's shoulders and delivered at Wrestlemania's door like a king. The question right now is: who has enough power to stop him from taking RAW hostage next week? There aren't many superstars playing at the level he is and to choose someone a few leagues bellow him would be a disservice to the work Seth has been dishing out.

So choose wisely, WWE, because the wrong option - especially if they stand victorious over Seth at Wrestlemania - might mean the only theme song echoing through Dallas at the end will be the sweet melody coming from the choir of the man who is reaping what he spent the past few years carefully sowing: Seth Freakin' Rollins.
